Prayer and Fast

We hope that you had a good rest, that you are full of faith & now ready for 2012!

We invite you to join us for our Church Prayer & Fasting! We starting Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd January.

We always fast as a leadership team, and now invite you to join us! This will be our first church fast & I know that it will bless everyone to “Start Strong” & get ready personally & corporately for this significant year.

If you have never fasted, or not fasted this long I encourage you not to be intimidated! Remember = all things are possible! There are so many reasons and blessings that come with fasting! Some of them are…

Fasting clarifies and redirects callings and ministries - Acts 13:1-3

Fasting breaks demonic strongholds - Matt 17:21, Is 58:6

Fasting increases spiritual power - Lk 4:1,14

So…

When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.- Matt 6:16-17

Our Focus this year will be to live by the Spirit! Some of our other Every Nation Churches are also fasting with us… So we have a put a guide together to help you!

Prayer and fasting would not be the same without PRAYER! So, firstly we encourage you to pray with your family, then friends and your connect group! There will also be corporate prayer & soaking evenings some evenings, and during the day! We encourage you to join us for some of these! We will email those times & venues ASAP!

Friends, it is going to be an awesome time, and great way to hear God’s voice, start strong & receive some faith conviction for the year!

Just a Note: We encourage only healthy adults to fast. If you are pregnant or nursing (there are a lot of you), you should not fast. If you have any medical condition, you should check with your doctor before fasting.
